Birthplace Maps Index

You can see a map of Europe on which one can click on a country and get a list of the mathematicians born in that country and eight larger scale maps on which one may click on individual locations and see the mathematicians born in these places.

Maps available are:

Germany and Middle Europe

Western Russia and Scandinavia
USA and Canada
India and Pakistan

These maps may also be accessed from individual biographies.

Places with one mathematician are marked
whilst places with more than one are marked
Mathematicians whose birthplaces are very close have sometimes been included under a single place.
