Tullio Levi-Civita

Tullio Levi-Civita was an Italian mathematician who is best known for his work on the absolute differential calculus. He published the theory of tensors in a form which was used by Einstein in his theory of relativity. He had problems later in his life with the rise of Fascism in Italy.
