The Spring Prize of the Mathematical Society of Japan


The Mathematical Society of Japan Spring Prize is awarded to those of age below 40 who have obtained outstanding mathematical results. This prize has been awarded since 1973 but originally it was named the Iyanaga Prize since it was funded though an endowment made by Shokichi Iyanaga. The Iyanaga Prize was awarded until 1987 and from 1988 it has been known as the Spring Prize.
