George Samuel Eastwood

George Samuel Eastwood attended the University of London. After a short spell as a teacher in England, he came to Scotland when appointed as an assistant master at Arbroath High School. In 1911 he was appointed Principal teacher of Mathematics at Beath Secondary School in Cowdenbeath, Fife, and he remained in this post until he retired in 1938.

He was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society of Edinburgh on 9 March 1925 having been proposed by Sir Edmund T Whittaker, David Gibb, Sir Charles Galton Darwin, and Edward Thomas Copson.
